Tasteful heritage of craftsmanship
Blanxart Chocolate was founded in April 1954 by master chocolatier Francesc Agrás. Today, it is one of the most iconic and beloved chocolate brands in Spain. Based in Barcelona, the story of Blanxart begins when Agrás, driven by his passion for chocolate, made a journey through the best confectioners and chocolate shops. He immersed himself in the world and culture of chocolate. This led to the creation of one of the most renowned chocolate factories in Catalonia and Spain: Bombons Blanxart.
Blanxart still a family business
The 4th generation is now at the helm of Blanxart Chocolate. Xavier Cordomi currently heads Blanxart and is constantly looking for innovation. In doing so, he remains true to the ideas of his forefathers. Because of their style and innovation, Blanxart has had cult status in Spain and Germany from the start. But they are also known in the rest of the world for their top artisan chocolates.
Blanxart ahead of their time
Together with four friends, Agrás started in a modest workshop in Barcelona's Les Corts district. From the start, the mission was clear. To produce the best chocolate using carefully selected ingredients and traditional methods. The best cocoa beans from Ghana, Congo and Ecuador are transformed into Spain's best chocolates thanks to their proprietary process. An unusual approach, especially for its time.
Sustainable business
Dedication to craftsmanship
Dating back to 1954, Blanxart's logo is derived from an altar image for artisans. This logo is cherished and represents the essence of the company: dedication to artisan craftsmanship. To this day, Blanxart remains true to its origins. At the new Sant Joan Despí factory, they roast and conch the single origin cocoa beans the old-fashioned way. What results is chocolate with intense aromas, flavours and textures.
Tradition and innovation
Blanxart is committed to sustainability and ethical production. The brand works closely with farmers to guarantee fair prices. They also invest in initiatives that improve the living conditions of cocoa communities. This ethical approach does not stop here. Even for the packaging of their products, eco-friendly materials are used to minimise their carbon footprint.
A wide and varied range
Blanxart's product range is wide and varied. Their products range from dark chocolate bars to unique flavour combinations with ingredients such as sea salt, almonds and orange. Each creation is a work of art in itself. The deep, rich flavour excites the senses and leaves a lasting impression. Although Blanxart does not participate in chocolate competitions, they are recognised as pioneers in single origin chocolate and are among the best artisan chocolate makers in the world.
A pioneer and inspiration
Blanxart Chocolate symbolises the perfect harmony between traditional craftsmanship and modern sustainability. The company is still owned by the founders' family. They remain true to the vision of creating chocolate that is not only delicious but also has a positive impact on the world. With their unwavering commitment to quality, ethics and innovation, Blanxart remains a pioneer in the world of artisan chocolate. They are a true inspiration to chocolate lovers from all over the world.
