De Chocolademeisjes VOF cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data we need for (the improvement of) our services and treat the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services of The Chocolate Girls VOF accessed thereon. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 27/02/2023, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires. Webshop software

WooCommerce

Our online shop is developed with software from WooCommerce. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our service is shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. WooCommerce is obliged by the agreement we have with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve its services.

WooCommerce hosting

Our online shop is developed with WooCommerce software, we have chosen MijnDomein for our web hosting. Personal data you make available to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. MijnDomein has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have with them, MijnDomein is obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent loss of data.

Web hosting

MyDomain

We purchase web hosting and email services from MijnDomein. MijnDomein processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. MijnDomein has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. MijnDomein is bound to secrecy under the contract.

E-mail and mailing lists

MailChimp

We send our e-mail newsletters using MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every e-mail sent automatically via our website, you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. You will then no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share information with third parties as part of this.

My Domain

We use the services of My Domain for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent abuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Mijn Domein has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our e-mail traffic as confidential.

Payment processors

Mollie

To handle (part of) the payments in our web shop, we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, as part of this, share (anonymised) data with third parties. All the above safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie's services for which it engages third parties. Mollie will not retain your data longer than permitted under the statutory time limits.

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur

We collect reviews through WebwinkelKeur's platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and e-mail address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to comment on your review. In case we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and e-mail address with WebwinkelKeur. They only use this data for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect your personal data.

Shipping and logistics

When you place an order with us, our job is to get your package delivered to you. We use the services of Tour de Ville to carry out the deliveries. This requires us to share your name, address and place of residence data with Tour de Ville. Tour de Ville uses this data only for the purpose of executing the contract. In the event that Tour de Ville engages subcontractors, Tour de Ville will also make your data available to these parties.

Purpose of data processing

We use your data exclusively for the purpose of our services. That is, the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you - other than at your request - at a later time, we will ask you explicit permission to do so. Retention periods

We keep your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we will keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also take this as a forgetting request.
