ChocoQueen was founded by Angeline and Karin, two passionate chocolate lovers. Besides their beloved bean-to-bar chocolate bars, they proudly present artisanal chocolates made from the best cocoa, from bean to bonbon.
Their love for chocolate began in 2018, when they decided to restore and reforest cocoa plantations in Cameroon. Cameroon, Angeline's native country, holds a special place in their hearts. Through their work, they aim to make a lasting positive impact on local communities by promoting fair employment and sustainable agriculture. ChocoQueen supports communities in Cameroon by investing in training, coaching and fair employment opportunities.
ChocoQueen's cocoa beans are carefully selected, fermented and sun-dried. This intensive process ensures a product of exceptional quality. In the Netherlands, Angeline and Karin work closely with a local chocolatier to create unique top-quality chocolates.
At Mintom, the focus is on the robust Forastero cocoa beans, known for their deep and full flavour. This plantation plays a crucial role in ChocoQueen's reforestation project. By investing in various crops and natural methods, they promote biodiversity and improve soil fertility. Mintom is a symbol of the commitment to revitalise depleted lands while raising the standard of living of the local community.
