Taza Chocolade| Super Dark – 85%
Taza Chocolate | Extra Dark Chocolate, the makers of this extra dark chocolate describe its flavour profile as follows. 'Full of flavour and with the typical Taza texture .'
The Taza Discs are a tribute to traditional Mexican stone-ground chocolate. The Taza Discs are the very first product launched by the company, Taza Chocolate, in 2005. The round discs immediately stand out because of their exceptional shape, but also in texture, this chocolate is very distinctive from other chocolates.
This is due to the grinding of cocoa between the millstones that creates a rustic, chocolate with intense flavours and wonderfully grainy textures, unsurprisingly the texture also influences the taste experience .
Inspired by their passion for Mexican chocolate traditions, Taza hand-cuts the granite millstones themselves. Want to use chocolate in the traditional Mexican way? Then turn it into a chocolate drink! The Mexicans do it by breaking off a piece and letting it dissolve in hot water. But dissolving a piece of Taza in your hot (vegetable) milk is also delicious.
Origin
Without a doubt, it can be said of Taza Chocolate that they are chocolate pioneers. From their inception, they have been saying 'no' to predatory middlemen and the abuse of working conditions. Taza Chocolate have set up the first Direct Trade programme for cocoa in the chocolate industry certified by a third party to ensure quality and transparency for all.
Taza Chocolate works with Finca Elvesia and Öko Caribe, both based in the Dominican Republic, Abocfa from Ghana and Pisa in Haiti.
