  • Biologische weipoeder
  • Organic Arenga palm sugar (Indonesia)
  • Glucose
  • Biologische melkpoeder
  • Fennel seed
  • Non-GMO soy lecithin (max 0.2%)

Background information:

Mesjokke Natural Blonde is a single origin craft chocolate. The bar of white chocolate contains 40% cocoa butter and fennel seeds. This white chocolate is made from both deodorised and natural cocoa butter from the Dominican Republic. The deodorised cocoa butter is stripped of all cocoa flavour and by combining it in perfect proportion with the natural cocoa butter, the characteristic deep flavour is created. This chocolate is not muscle white as it is sweetened with a sugar from the Arenga palm.
This bar of white chocolate is unexpectedly deep in flavour, notable are the nice flavour notes of toffee or caramel, occasionally you will be surprised by a hint of aniseed.

Arenga palm sugar

Palm sugar from the Arenga sugar palm, which comes from the Masarang Foundation in Tomohon in North Sulawesi, is a natural all-round talent that provides a good income for the more than 6,000 farmers in the cooperative. The sugar palm is very economical, productive, ecologically and economically valuable and its sugar is very healthy, this is because the natural vitamins and amino acids are preserved during the production process.
The yield from six sugar palms secures the cost of living for an entire family in the remote region. The farmers share 100% of the profits through the cooperative, giving them the financial means to send their children to secondary schools. Because they are also more independent, rainforests cut down for monocultures and a corrupt system are spared. Thus, sugar palm also contributes to sustainable wildlife management. So this palm sugar not only contributes to your own well-being, but you also support local farmers and rainforest conservation.
